Nerdy nostalgia fix! 🤓
My first ever computer was a Commodore Plus/4. And Commodore has been making a comeback (of sorts) in recent years, now run by a retro-gaming YouTuber who's been bringing the old stuff back to life. First, they did the Commodore 64 again, and now... A flip phone.
It's called the Callback 8020. I love the design (gives me Nintendo Game Boy Advance vibes too), and I love what it DOESN'T DO... No social media, no web browser, no work apps, and the front screen only ever tells you the time and the battery. Plus, LEDs that glow when you have a notification (no buzzing)...
I kind of want one. Partly out of nostalgia, partly wanting to be able to switch off better.
The only thing stopping me is the camera. If someone made one of these with a decent camera, it would be a perfect device I could switch to for holidays and weekends.
Anyway, I'm definitely picking one up...
