Unleashing Creativity Through Technology

About Me

My company, Chaos Created, is a web design, app and games development, audio and video production and marketing agency based in Portishead, Bristol. We developed Zombies Ate My City and Timedancer, both featured on BBC Click, and our client-based app development work includes apps and games for TES, Nokia, and Tesco.

On the production side, we create podcasts, documentary-style video content, and YouTube Live shows for a growing range of clients - including AstroAgency, the Centre for Hate Studies at the University of Leicester, and the Institute for Policy at the University of Leicester, where we produce a series of portrait-style policy brief videos. We also provide video production, data analysis, and digital marketing support for the Bristol & Beyond Stronger Practice Hub, and we produce the Shaking It Up With Parkinson's podcast in partnership with Parkinson's UK - a series exploring life, movement, and resilience hosted by Maria Lewis and Vicky Rees-Davies.

I'm also the Director of Technology at TeenTech, a UK charity, where I present workshops at TeenTech Festivals across the UK and produce virtual events - delivering live, interactive online sessions to young people featuring special guests from the worlds of science, technology, engineering, gaming, animation, and music.

Alongside this, I'm the Technical Director of Adaptive Fitness Training (AFT), a specialist education company for fitness professionals working with neurological conditions and rehabilitation - where I oversee the technology, digital infrastructure, and video production side of the business.

I also run coding workshops in UK schools through our Code Created initiative.

I'm a technology enthusiast, movie fanatic, and gamer. I enjoy travelling, taking random road trips, running, rollercoasters and theme parks, and drinking coffee. Lots of coffee.

Recent Projects

Ultimate Tech Camp is back for 2026, running at 22 sites across the UK this summer!

Chaos Created is thrilled to continue our partnership with @ultimateactivitycamps through our Code Created initiative, and we've created four brand-new projects for this year's programme:

... 🏓 Multiplayer Pong - children build their own head-to-head version of the arcade classic
☄️ Asteroid Blast - our first project to bring in rotation, as players spin and blast their way through an asteroid field
🤖 A new TPBot robotics activity - our TPBot projects were a huge hit last year, so we've added another
💎 A frantic crystal-collecting multiplayer game - players race to collect crystals of their own colour whilst dodging their rival's

Tom and Ali also delivered online training for the Ultimate Activity Camps delivery team again this year, and it was another great success, with brilliant engagement and loads of questions from instructors getting ready for the summer.

What a wonderful afternoon spent recording an upcoming episode of Shaking It Up with Parkinson's with @thejeremyvine and his sister, @sonyavineartist. We're already looking forward to editing this one together for release in August.

This episode is for the people who walk the ...Parkinson's journey alongside someone they love. Jeremy and Sonya have lived this from two angles. Sonya's husband, Chris, was diagnosed at just 34, a few months after they married. Their father was diagnosed much later in life, a fit and active man who had always avoided doctors, and his Parkinson's progressed quickly in his final years. Same condition, same family, two very different journeys.

It was such an honest, heartwarming, moving and funny conversation, and we'll be sharing some clips soon.

HUGE thanks to Jeremy and Sonya for being such open and fabulous guests, and to our brilliant hosts Maria Lewis (@reachyourpeakonline) and Vicky Rees-Davies (@the_fitness_mum) for another wonderful conversation.

More soon! In the meantime, catch up on previous episodes on our website, and follow wherever you get your podcasts.

We had the absolute joy of being in the audience for @reactppa's production of The Addams Family at The McMillan Theatre in Bridgwater last night, and what an incredible show it was.

We've been proud to support RE:ACT since 2022, and this year we were delighted to be headline ...sponsor of their latest production. Watching these young performers own a professional stage - from the Addams family themselves and the lead cast, right through to the ancestors (who did a wonderful job creeping the audience up and had us jumping and laughing in equal measure) - was something special. The music, lighting, sound and sets were all superb. It might just be our favourite RE:ACT production yet.

A HUGE congratulations to everyone involved, on stage and behind the scenes. And best of luck for the final performances this weekend! 🧡

And if you're anywhere near Bridgwater this weekend, grab yourself a ticket.

We're at the TeenTech Awards Final 2026 and so proud to be supporting the day! 🎉

Chaos Created has worked with TeenTech for over a decade, and there's no day quite like the Awards Final. Tom and I are here at IET London: Savoy Place running the live blog and the TeenTech ...social media channels throughout the day, bringing all the action to everyone following from home and school.

It's a real privilege to play our part in a day that celebrates the incredible ideas of young innovators from across the country. The talent on show is always incredibly inspiring (and this year, it's even hotter than the heatwave outside! ☀️🔥)

Follow the TeenTech Awards Final live blog and social media channels for live updates all day long:

Next Friday, the TeenTech Awards Final returns to the IET London: Savoy Place, where 76 finalist teams will share the projects they've been developing since last autumn.

We've had the pleasure of designing this year's programme again. It celebrates the incredible work ...TeenTech does year-round, the hard work of every student team that made it to the Final, and the sponsors who make it all possible.

We'll also be there on the day, supporting TeenTech by running their live blog and social media channels. We can't wait.

Episode 4 of Shaking It Up with Parkinson's is out now, and we have another incredible guest! 🎙️

Hosts Maria Lewis (@reachyourpeakonline) and Vicky Rees-Davies (@the_fitness_mum) are joined by @richard.m.waters, international award-winning travel writer, co-author of three Sunday... Times Top 10 bestsellers, and author of Swimming with the Viking of Skye. Rich has worked on books with Tyson Fury, Adam Peaty and Ollie Ollerton, and his latest was named by the Mail as the second best self-help book of 2025.

This is a conversation about so much more than swimming. It's about acceptance, apathy, impulsive behaviour, the value of adventure, and what it means to really live when time feels more precious than most. Rich talks with a rare openness, and the result is one of our favourite conversations from the whole series so far.

Huge thanks to Richard, Maria and Vicky, and to @parkinsonsuk for powering the show. ✨

A fantastic, engaging and well prepared workshop. Ali and Tom were so patient and enthusiastic with the children. It was lovely to see how engaged ALL the children were and the new skills have been used independently. Highly recommend this workshop!

Ali and Tom delivered an excellent full-day coding and gaming workshop that gave students hands-on experience in developing creativity, problem-solving, and digital literacy skills through interactive gameplay and coding challenges. The day was well organised, engaging, and ran smoothly from start to finish.

We were particularly impressed by how Ali and Tom kept students interested and encouraged active participation throughout the workshop. The students remained focused, enthusiastic, and fully engaged in the activities, producing impressive outcomes. It was a highly enjoyable and valuable experience, and if we have the opportunity in the future, we would gladly invite them back to work with our students again.

We have had Code Created at our school for several years now working with both the Year 3 and Year 4 classes. They are knowledgeable, calm and above all fun! The workshops are often referred to as 'the best day ever!' by children. Thoroughly recommended.

Our Year 5 and 6 learners recently took part in a wonderful coding workshop led by Tom and Ali. Both leaders were patient, clear in their explanations, and demonstrated impressive subject knowledge. They created a supportive atmosphere where learners were encouraged to explore the software, make mistakes, and learn from them with expert guidance on hand.

A particular highlight was the opportunity for the children to design and build their own game. This hands-on challenge kept everyone fully engaged and allowed them to apply new skills creatively and confidently. Since the workshop, the children haven’t stopped talking about their games and how excited they were to see their ideas come to life. The children are so proud, we're even holding a family session so the children can share their accomplishments!

Diolch yn fawr!

Thank you again for such a fantastic workshop, the children absolutely loved it!
Some of the feedback from the pupils really sums it up:
“It was the best morning ever!”
“I feel like I’m a real coder.”
“That was the best workshop we’ve had, especially because we can do it at home!”
We really appreciate you coming in and sharing your expertise. It was brilliant to see how enthusiastic and engaged all the children were throughout the session.
Thanks again and we’d love to have you back in the future!

A fantastic workshop! Our Year 5 and 6 loved working with Ali and Tom, who were both so knowledgeable about their subject area. The workshop involved coding a game using Microsoft Arcade Make Code - a daunting task without their expert guidance! By the end of the session, every pupil had created a playable game and were so excited to share their creations with each other. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
