Ideally, I would
like to pursue a career that incorporates my interest in the media, allowing
me to be creative in my work. My
interests and my skills are split between film and multimedia work, specialising
in editing. I am currently working as
a Flash Programmer. |

Professional Achievements
|
Film Editing
§
Edited a
15 minute short childrens film, The Mighty Tykes. Post-editing, I treated the film using Magic
Bullet (developed by Lucas Film employees), a plug-in for Adobe Premiere Pro
allowing the film, shot on standard DV, to appear to have the quality of film
stock and to create atmospheric colour treatment. §
Edited
on “Famehunter”, a short Rock/Mockumentary about the §
Edited
on several short films of varying genres. §
My editing
on The Mighty Tykes won the “Available Light Prize for Editing” (Bristol
2005). Multimedia – Web based work
§
Designed
several websites for clients including Capitek, Peverel, Lindley Law and
others. §
Coded,
using php and Mysql, modules to help launch an ecommerce site in §
Developed
ecommerce solutions for several companies, including iGlasses and Accent on
Hair and Beauty. Multimedia – Computer Games
§
Created
two add-ons as a “1.5 party” developer for §
Created
a prototype for an educational piece of software, called Poetech, as part of
a Nesta funded hothouse weekend with two colleagues. §
Currently
developing a standalone virtual pet game called Melloweh. The prototype was nominated for the “HP
Award for Multimedia” ( §
Working
for i-board as a Flash programmer, working in Active Script on educational
games for primary school children. Marketing/Advertising

Worked
for The Hawthorns, Clevedon developing a marketing strategy for their §
Currently
working on rebranding Lindley Law. I am
working on the web based strategy, implementing a modern revamp for the
company and developing an online quotation system. Relief Manager
§
Have
worked as a Relief Manager for a Retirement Hotel providing gracious
retirement living. §
Trained
in all aspects of managerial work including staff training, health and
safety, pay roll, rent roll, first aid, accounts and the day to day running
of such a facility. §
Responsible
for over a hundred residents/guests and over fifty members of staff. In a position of working with people
day-in, day-out. §
Provided
sleep-in managerial relief, on call, dealing with emergencies and any
situations that arise. |
